However, the service was a bit disappointing as there was a delay in receiving the orders. Despite that, the staff were friendly and the overall experience was good. Let’s Meat is a great place for a hangout with tasty food.

Lan’s Corner Ikan Bakar Sambai Meletop is a restaurant located in Jalan Tanjung Bunga, Batu Feringghi. The place is attractively decorated and has received good reviews in the past. However, when four of us visited, we found the food to be terrible. The sambal was not spicy but only sweet, and the ikan bakar had no taste. The prawn dish was cooked with sweet sambal instead of any authentic sauce and did not taste fresh. The soup was very salty. The waiter was friendly and helpful, but we regretted trying the food as it was not worth the price. On the positive side, the restaurant is large with various types of tables, and we were able to eat for a relatively low price of around 3++ for 8 people. The menu offers a variety of options in each set. The food tasted good and the portions were okay. The service was also good. I ordered white rice, tomyam ayam, sayur campur, and ayam goreng kunyit. The only downside was that the chicken in the tomyam was a bit dry since it had been boiled beforehand. Apologies for the poor quality of my camera.

Gusto Cafe is a disappointing experience with uncomfortable ambience, lack of air con, and dirty baby chair. Limited breakfast options like toasted bagel with egg and cheese, Spaniard, and flat white were unappetizing and didn’t taste good. Coffee was okay, staff were fine, and prices were reasonable. No plans to return. Salmon and cheese omelette is a must-try with soft and creamy eggs. Penang style Peranakan Restaurant Sinkhek in the basement serves delicious lorbak, fried chicken, and assam prawns. Otak-otak was sold out. Honest and good quality Peranakan food. Opened Fri-Sun.

Baa Baa Black Sheep is a great place for a family outing! The service is prompt and attentive, with the staff going above and beyond to cater to your needs. The food is nice, and the kids will love the teddy bear art on top of their hot chocolate. The restaurant is also very kid-friendly, with high chairs and kids’ plates and utensils provided without even having to ask. The dining tables are well spaced, providing a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience. There is no oily smell in the restaurant either, which is a big plus. The breakfast options are simple but delicious, perfect for starting the day. The coffee is also well-made, adding to the overall experience. However, it is worth noting that the prices are quite high, with an order costing more than RM50. Despite this, the food and desserts are great, with the lamb shank being tender and juicy, and the waffles crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The ice cream is also of good quality. The burger patty is crunchy, and they even provide free ice water with a hint of lemon. The only downside is the parking, which can be a bit of an issue.

Other recommended dishes to try are the daging salai and sotong sambal. It is frequented by local Penangites of all races and is located near Masjid Terapung. While the food at Kedai Makan Lidiana is amazing and reasonably priced, be prepared to sweat as the place can be quite hot.

Warung Tok Mat Mee Udang is a hidden gem! Amazing location by the beach and next to the mosque. Big with outdoor seating. Try their incredible special, well-flavored and well-portioned. Kind waiters ensure satisfaction. Highly recommended! Prawn soup is the best in Malaysia. Magical atmosphere at sunset and call to prayer. Affordable price. Unforgettable experience! Discreet entrance path, follow dirt track for 150 meters to find this shack. Good and fresh mee udang. Location not super friendly, good luck finding it.

It is an affordable and satisfying meal for breakfast, perfect for two people at a local hawker complex. The Roti Bakar comes in many variations, and the Kacang Phool option is good. The presentation is impressive and the cheesy melts beef is recommended for its taste and generous portion that can be shared by two people. However, the food service can be a bit slow, but we were okay with it. The owner is friendly. The price could be considered a bit pricey for the Kacang Phool. It was a really busy Saturday morning, and we had to wait for over an hour. The food was good, but it wasn’t worth waiting for that long. The wait was due to there being only one person preparing the food.

Kedai Makan Lidiana – Nasi Campur menawarkan hidangan Nasi Campur gaya Melayu yang sedap! Pelbagai pilihan tersedia. Sebagai destinasi kedai makan yang wajib dikunjungi, lauk Ikan Terubok Goreng ialah yang terbaik di sini, memang sedap! Makanan Melayu yang baik dengan harga yang berpatutan, kedai ini sibuk pada waktu makan tengah hari. Berbanding dengan yang lain, makanan Melayu di kawasan ini lebih baik!

PANG Hainan Coffee & Nasi Lemak (pagi) menawarkan Nasi Lemak set lengkap ayam goreng yang enak sekali. Roti bakar dan telur separuh masak adalah kombinasi yang baik. Parking yang luas tersedia. Tetapi hanya menerima bayaran tunai. Lokasi yang bagus untuk makan bersama keluarga. Saya suka membawa pulang untuk makan tengah hari. Harga sedikit tinggi, tetapi Nasi Lemak yang enak dan bersih. Mereka juga menyediakan sarapan seperti Kaya Butter Toast, telur separuh masak dan kopi. Pelayanan ramah dan efisien. Satu-satunya keluhan saya ukuran roti yang kecil. Harga sarapan sedikit melebihi RM10. Terletak di hadapan Mercure Penang Beach Hotel, menjadi alternatif yang lebih baik daripada sarapan di hotel.

Although the takeaway roti may not be as crispy as when eaten fresh, it still has a doughy and chewy texture that is enjoyable. The dahl is a unique mix of Indian dahl and curry, not too spicy and filled with chickpeas and potatoes. This combination is perfect when soaked in the dahl. Malaysian street food stands out because they specialize in one type of dish and become the best at it. When asking locals, roti canai was recommended to try, and this place came up as the best in the area. Compared to other places, this roti canai is superior in multiple ways, with its mix of flour bread, egg, onion, spices, and oil. The accompanying sauce is delicious and satisfying. The staff is friendly and helpful, especially to foreigners, ensuring you choose the right option for your taste. Despite the crowded place, it only took me 10 minutes to order and collect my breakfast. I walked a distance to get there and would gladly do so again. Well done to Roti Pak Lan for their deserved popularity and many customers!
